JEANNE AND I - BOOK 2, PAGE 4

One last photo of Jeanne at Sugarbush and then we come to Christmas 1981 with the whole clan on hand.

For the 4th of July, Jeanne, Chris and I go to Chicago were we visit the many sites such as the Sears Tower. The main reason to go was to visit the Field Museum and then celebrate the 4th at the park in the evening with the symphony and the fireworks. It was estimated that over 300,000 people were at the park that evening. But, fortunately, we were staying in a hotel about 3-4 blocks away so we didn't have to fight the traffic jams after the fireworks.

The view from the Sears Tower is exceptionally good that day we were there.

Chris really enjoy our trip to Chicago and I enjoyed Jeanne and Chris's surprise birthday party for me. I believe this was my 50th

This may be photos of your ski trip back to Snowmass. On the left we are looking down at the bottom of the Big Burn area and on the right is our condo, Aspenwood. It is the dark building on the right. We chose this condo as it was only about a block from the ski slopes and it was very easy to walk there in the morning. Also, we could ski down to the little walkway back to the condo, stick our skies in the snow bank and walk back to the condo for lunch and a brief rest.

On the left is the 2nd lift up Snowmass from the village. And we both look forward to the end of the day when we return back to the condo, change into our swimming suits and hit the hot tub and pool.
