This is our friend, Fumio Matsuhisa from Gifu, Japan.
Fumio is a golf teacher and Caddy Master in Japan and would like to play on the PGA Senior Tour. We met through the internet and recently Fumio spent some time with us so he and Dave could play golf and help each other with their games. We played Southern Oaks, Verdae Greens, and the Walker Course at Clemson University.
A friend of his saw my wise-old-man.com website and the section on Golf. He contacted me and arranged for me to meet Funio using Emails.

Fumio's beautiful hometown, Gifu, is just North of Nagoya, which it near the center of Japan.
Gifu is a city in central Japan. Gifu Castle overlooks the city from atop Mt. Kinka. A cable car connects the castle to Gifu Park at the foot of the mountain. Within the park, the Nawa Insect Museum displays thousands of butterflies and beetles. Kawaramachi Street is lined with traditional wood-latticed craft shops. The city's Nagara River is known for its cormorant fishing and summertime fireworks displays.

Fumio San has a very good setup to play golf. This is on the practice range at Southern Oaks. Marty, who will be playing quite a bit of golf with us is in the background hitting range balls.

Jeanne and Fumio say "HI" from the tee box of the famous Clemson University Golf Course's 17 Hole, The TIGER PAW HOLE (the mascot of Clemson University). The hole is downhill and about 176 yards. Both Fumio and I pared this hole while Jeanne got a nice 4.

Jeanne and Fumio enjoy breakfast at our eating area. For breakfast we generally have toast with at least three kinds of jams or jelly. Sometimes Jeanne and I have cereal but Fumio always has toast, coffee, orange juice and milk.

The finish of a good swing by Fumio at the Southern Oaks range. The weather was very nice while Fumio stayed with us from November 14th to November 26th. Generally it was sunny and somewhat warm. We only had one bad day when we could not play golf.

Fumio and Dave in our sun room. From here we can look out over the small cove of Lake Hartwell where Jeanne fishs in the spring, summer and fall.

Marty Holwag, Dennis Kelly, Fumio and Dave enjoy stopping in the club house for refreshments after their round of golf.
