This is the story, the true story of my life as I remember it. I am writing this so that
my grandchildren, great grandchildren and beyond, can someday read this story and learn about me as I grew up. Hopefully,
they will learn about life, understand what living conditions were like where I was growing
up, and that they will have some appreciation for what they have in their life.
You should use the navigation box on the right to work your way through my memories. To continue on from this introduction you should click on the Chapter 1.
Each chapter will have individual stories.
You can select any chapter and see the stories in the navigation box. Every other chapter will be a link and will take you to the first story in that chapter. You can also use the links buttons at the bottom of each page.
As I am writing this story I am in my 70s now and I wish all my relatives to know my story and their history as well. My grandchildren, Will and
Michael, are but four and 20 months. All children should know their grand parents as their
life experiences can enrich the grandchildren's experiences. I do have step-grandchildren
due to my marriage to Jeanne. She has seven grandchildren, Aaron, Josh, Thomas, T.J.,
Holly, Mandy, Tammy, and one great-grandchild, and Savannah, and I hope that they too will learn a bit about me.
As everyone knows, children do not learn about life until they are well into their twenties.
By that time I would be in my mid-80's and conditions may preclude my passing on to
them my life's lessons.
These are short stories about various periods in my life. They are in chronological order. Most of these stories are about 2-3 pages long or a single web page, which makes them easy to read without being bored, which you could be if you have no interest in my life or learning about how a kids grew up in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. I hope you have a comfortable chair. Sit back and learn a little bit about the Thomsons of the yesteryears.
