JEANNE AND I - BOOK 1, PAGE 3

The riding was not too bad but there were some hills. For Dave this meant more rest stops him where as Jeanne was used to riding and didn't need the extra rest.

You can tell how "easy" Jeanne rides her bike. One of the rest stops or break was at an Amish Cheese Store, which has a replicate of the Swiss mountain, the Matterhorn.

There really is nothing better than Amish Baby Swiss Cheese! Jim and his son, Bob, visit Columbus.

Bob enjoys our couch to read the local sports page. One of my favorite desserts is Bananas Foster which is un-Godly full of calories but is so good! Jim and Bob check out the tools necessary for making it.

Before Jeanne and I got married I had already arranged a ski trip to Aspen, CO, with a friend of mine. So I went and then later on that winter, Jeanne and I went together. The photograph on the right below is the 2nd lift up to the top. This one lets you off at the crest of a mountain that has a valley on the other side where you ski down and catch another lift to the highest point for skiing, The Big Burn area.

Elk Camp, the photo on the left, is a great place to ski at Snowmass. The run is very long but not that steep. My friend and I stayed in Aspen and took a bus each day to one of the ski area, of which there are three: Aspen, Buttermilk and Snowmass. The photo on the right is the bus stop we started from but that is not my friend sitting there.
