JEANNE AND I - BOOK 1, PAGE 4

My friend and I are staying in Aspen a short walk from the bus stop to Snowmass. On the left is shown Little Neil, one of the major area in Aspen. This is for really good skiers but we try it anyway. Several spots seem almost straight down to us "flat-land skiers". On the right is one of the trails down the mountain.

Ajax Mountain is the ski area in Aspen and is known as a hard place to ski due to the steepness of most of the trails. The bus ride each morning is nice as everyone is anticipating skiing in the fresh snow.

On the way up to the top of Buttermilk Mountain and once you get to the top of Buttermilk Mountain ski area you can see the Maroon Bells Mountain.

Another view of one of the Buttermilk ski lifts. I have a golf shot in my scrapbook at this point as it could be after skiing at Snow Trails, Mansfield, Ohio, I went out and played golf in Columbus, due to the warm weather.

My son, Chris, is now 8 years old so this photo must be around the 20th of November, 1979. He sometimes plays with the neighbor kid, Rob.

Jeanne ponders where and what to put next on our Christmas tree but when she gets done there are quite a few presents under the tree.
