A YEAR ON THE ROAD IN OUR MOTORHOME
BOOK 1/PAGE 3
Yellowstone National Park is the premier national park! There is nothing like it and no other park comes close to it in features, size, and beauty. Here the bison roam and natural steam geysers, the best known being Old Faithful. Below on the right is, I think, the best geyser formation in the park, Norris Geyser.
June, 1991 to June, 1992
Norris Geyser is multi-geysers and a pretty sight in the early morning when the temperature is cold and the steam is rising. The Yellowstone river flow through the park and can be seen from many advantage points.
Yellowstone river forms many rapids which are convient to the roads through the park. And most geyser areas, such as Norris above, have boardwalks through them to protect the enviorement and the visitors.
Old Faithful is the most famous geyser at the park but if you get there be sure to stop, wait and see the Castle Geyser, in some ways more impressive than Old Faithful.
On our way out of Yellowstone and heading for Glacier National Park on the US-Canadian board, we stop for a day in Polson, Montana where we got in a round of golf at the local golf course. Our Motor Home had outside-under storage that was just big enough to put our golf clubs if we took the drivers out. In another outside compartment we also carried our ski equipment, pole, skies and boots, which we did manage to use once on our trip.
Please note our campsite at Glacier National Park on the right. To wake up in the morning, step outside and lookup and see the mountains and snow - well, words can't describe it.
Glacier National Park is another stunning beautiful park as can be seen by these two photographs. We can not describe how beautiful and peaceful the park is as the only way to see this is to go there and experience the park.
