Golf Course Rating Assistant (GCRA)

I developed, over the next 8 years, GCRA which allows the team capton to greatly reduce their time reviewing rater's Form 1 and produced a printed USGA Form 1.

I split the USGA Form 1 into two parts, Rating Form and Green Form

Rating Form records data for only 6 holes compared to the USGA Form 1 which is for 9 holes. Having fewer holes on the form means more space to record data.

Raters only have to write down numbers, e.g. Fairway Width, or circle letters or expressions, e.g. Surface Contour.

Green Form records data for only 6 holes compared to the USGA Form 1's 9 holes. Having fewer holes on the form means more space to record data.

Raters only have to write down numbers, e.g. Green Width and Depth, or circle ranges.

The team leader enters the data into GCRA on his computer. Select the obstacle, in this case "Lateral Obstacle" Shot Length and distance (range) to the Lateral Obstacle.

GCRA will print a USGA Form 1 (for 6 holes only).

There is no need for the Team Leader to check the data as everything is verified, i.e. the obstacle rating values have been calculated using the data on the GCRA Rating and Green forms.
