NARRATIVE OF OUR SCRAPBOOK - JEANNE AND I - BOOK 1

Page 1 Jeanne and I were married, March 29, 1979 in Columbus, Oh. We honeymoon at Jekyll Island, GA, probably one of the nicest resort area on the East coast. Jeanne and I meet through her Christian Date Club and later in the year we celebrated the Club's 1st anniversary by holding a party at the Blacklick Woods Park in Columbus which was attended by about 50 members.
Page 2 A few more photographs of the Christian Date Club 1st anniversary party. Then Jeanne and I travel to East Lansing to meet my family. Jeanne is quite active outdoors with running and biking. We have Jeanne's family over for wedding cake made by here daughter-in-law, Janet Eichman. One interesting bike ride is to the Amish country in Ohio just East of Columbus.
Page 3 More photos of the Amish country bike ride and then Jim and Bob visit Columbus to see us. Before Jeanne and I were married I had planned a ski trip to Aspen, Co with a friend. Aspen is perhaps the best place in the world to ski due to the vast ski areas and variety of terrain.
Page 4 More photos of Aspen and Chris, my son, celebrates his 8th birthday. Jeanne and I spend our 1st Christmas together.
Page 5 Our first Christmas together and then we head for Aspen to ski. Jeanne has never skied on the mountain so this is a real experience for her. It was for me to as Jeanne likes to ski steep run where as I don't. So after skiing a day at Buttermilk, which obviously means easy runs, we go back to skiing the steeper mountains in Aspen. In the spring, Jeanne, Chris, my son, and I take part in a 1/2 mile. And later in the year, Jeanne puts on a "face" for Halloween.
Page 6 You have got to see Jeanne's Halloween face on this page.... really funny! Another Christmas is upon us so it must be 1980. After Christmas, we and some friends go to Boyne Mountain, Michigan to ski for a few days. Although the runs are not as long and not a steep as Aspen it is still good skiing and we all enjoy ourselves.
Page 7 Christmas is always a busy and fun time as we knew that after Christmas we could go skiing again out west. I may have the sequence of photo a bit out of line as the ski photos here are for a trip to Copper Mountain and Snowmass, Colorado but I don't believe we may two trips in one year.
Page 8 This is one of our Snowmass ski trips. We enjoyed the hot pool out back of the condo we were staying in. Snowmass, we both agree, is one of the best places to ski in the world (ok, we haven' been to that many but this has got to be in the top 5 ski areas).
Page 9 Jeanne and I visit my parents in East Lansing. Another ski trip to Aspen and we see Larry and Janet's first born, a boy - Aaron. Then the start of our trip to Kelly's Island, offshore from Sandusky, Ohio.
Page 10 More of Kelly's Island and then it is back to Columbus where we head about 20 miles south of Columbus to the Lost Hollow Campground where Jeanne has had a camper for many years and enjoyed it quite a bit with her kids when they were growing up.
